LifeStacker

A Varynthia Studios in-development game project.

LifeStacker is a mobile game concept where life is imagined as a falling-block puzzle: responsibilities, choices, clutter, opportunities, habits, and priorities descend into the player's life stack. The challenge is not merely to survive the pile, but to create order, balance, and meaning from the pieces that life keeps dropping.

01 — Overview

What Is LifeStacker?

LifeStacker is a game about managing the pressures of everyday life through a simple, symbolic, and immediately understandable gameplay metaphor. Inspired by falling-block puzzle mechanics, the game transforms life events into playable pieces: work, family, bills, rest, clutter, messages, obligations, opportunity, and spiritual or personal reflection.

The first prototype focuses on learning, testing, and validating the core gameplay loop. As the studio grows, LifeStacker will serve as both a playable project and a foundation for Varynthia Studios' future game-development workflow.

01

Life as a Puzzle

Falling pieces represent the duties, distractions, decisions, and surprises of ordinary life.

02

Balance the Stack

Players must organize life events before the pressure builds too high.

03

Built to Learn

LifeStacker is the studio's current build-to-learn project, helping establish real game production experience.

Prototype 0.1 — Initial Build Phase

Started: June 21, 2026

The first build phase focuses on creating a playable foundation in GDevelop. The goal is to establish the falling-piece system, basic stacking behavior, early scoring/stress logic, prototype visuals, and the first testable version of the LifeStacker gameplay loop.

Coming Soon

More updates will be added as the prototype develops.

05 — Pipeline

Part of the Varynthia Studios Game Pipeline

LifeStacker is the current in-development game project at Varynthia Studios. It is the practical proving ground where the studio is learning, testing, building, documenting, and refining its game-development process.

The knowledge gained through LifeStacker will support future Varynthia-born projects, including the larger fantasy game world of Visions of Flame & Frost.
